SuperHalfs

01. How do I sign up for SuperHalfs?

Participating in the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon can start the SuperHalfs circuit with one race already completed. Find out all about SuperHalfs and sign up here.

02. How do I associate my participation in the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon with SuperHalfs?

If you have already registered for SuperHalfs and entered your SH passport number at registration, your participation (having finished the race) will be automatically confirmed in your passport. If you only registered for SuperHalfs after the race or if you registered, you need to submit your registration on the SuperHalfs website.

 



Registrations

01. What does my registration entitle me to?

a) A personalized bib with a chip to time your participation time

b) Approved participation time and a participation diploma

c) An official adidas t-shirt and other sponsorship gifts

d) Sports insurance and medical support along the way

e) Supplies, WCs, and entertainment are along the course

f) Finisher medal

g) Free public transport (Trains, Metro, and Buses) during the day of the race (until 4 pm) upon presentation of the race number

02. How can I confirm my registration and my data?

Participants can confirm and consult their registration data through the organization’s official website (in the top left corner of the page). If you cannot find your registration or are unable to consult your data, please email info@maratonaportugal.com.

03. Can I cancel or transfer my registration to another participant or edition?

No, only in specific situations, such as injuries, pregnancy, or flight cancellations, is it possible to transfer registrations to the next edition duly proven. In no situation, the registration fee is refunded.

04. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

No, it’s not possible to transfer your registration.

05. Can I participate with someone else's bib number?

No, the numbers are personal and non-transferable. If they are not prevented from participating, participants who use someone else’s bib number automatically lose their sports insurance, and their participation data will be attributed to the original participant (without the possibility of exchange).

06. Can I participate in a race with the BIB number from another race?

No, the race BIBs only allow participation in the respective race.



BIBs and participation kits

01. How do I get my race number and participation kit?

To collect their bibs and participation kits, runners only need to present the registration document, the PDF sent by email closer to the race date (email used by the participant at the time of registration).

02. What is the registration document?

The registration document is a PDF file sent by email to all participants. It includes the runner’s name, race, bib number, and barcode. Runners must present this document to collect their bib number and participation kit. The PDF can be printed or displayed directly from the runner’s cell phone.

03. How do I find my registration document?

The registration document (PDF) was sent to your email address used by participants in the registration form. If you can’t find it, you can recover it in the following ways:

  1. Check the email address used to register
  2. Check your spam folder
  3. Check your registration on the official race website (at the top left corner of the page)
  4. Visit the Solutions counter at Sport Expo (where the bibs and participation kits are delivered) and ask for your PDF

04. Where can I get my race number and participation kit?

The bibs and participation kits are delivered at the Sport Expo.

05. When can I collect my bib number and participation kit?

The delivery of the participation kitbags (bib number and official t-shirts) will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, on the 4th, 5th and 6th of March from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM, at the Sport Expo located in Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, in Lisbon.

Please note: no BIBs or participation kits will be delivered on the race day.

06. What do I have to present to get my number and participation kit?

To collect your race number and participation kit, you only need to present your registration document (PDF sent by email to all participants).

The PDF can be printed or displayed directly from the runner’s cell phone.

Participants without the registration document can visit the Solutions counter at the Sport Expo (where the BIB and participation numbers are delivered) and request their PDF.

07. Who can pick up the bib number and participation kit?

The participant or another person can collect numbers and participation kits. If it is someone other than the participant, they must present the registration document of the respective participant or participants. To collect race numbers and participation kits, simply present the registration document for the race (PDF sent by email to all participants).

 

08. What does the participation kit include?

The participation kit includes a personalized BIB with chip (remember to lift the pins to attach the bib number to the shirt), an official adidas running t-shirt (the shirt size is requested at pick-up), a bag, and other sponsor offers.

There’s no gear check service available.

09. Will I be unable to collect my race number and participation kit within the set time?

Participants who cannot collect their race number and participation kit within the set time may ask someone else to collect them by presenting their registration document (PDF sent by email). If you don’t have anyone to ask, you can email info@maratonaportugal.com, and we will try to find a solution, but it is not guaranteed to be possible.

10. I couldn't get my race number and participation kit. Can I get them or receive them after the race?

No, the BIBs and the participation kits are delivered exclusively at the Sport Expo and on the defined dates. No race numbers or participation kits will be issued or sent on other dates or locations.

11. Can I receive my bib number and participation kit by post?

No, numbers and participation kits are delivered exclusively at the location and on the defined dates. No BIBs numbers or participation kits will be issued or sent on other dates or locations.

12. How do I choose the size of my official shirt?

The size of the official shirts is requested at the registration form. The available sizes are S, M, L, XL, and XXL.

13. Can I change the t-shirt?

Once the t-shirt has been picked up, it is not possible to exchange it.

14. I picked up the wrong BIB number; what can I do?

If you have picked up the wrong BIB, please return to Sport Expo and go to the Solutions counter. If, for any reason, you cannot make the exchange, please email info@maratonaportugal.com before the start of the race.

15. Can I buy the t-shirt and participation kit separately from the registration?

The race number and participation kit are exclusive to participants registered in the races. They cannot be purchased separately from the registration

16. Is it necessary to present a medical certificate to participate?

The participants do not need to present a medical certificate. When registering, participants declare themselves responsible for their health status and affirm that they are physically able to participate.



Start

01. Where is the start of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon?

The start of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is at the toll booth on the 25 Abril bridge on the south bank.

02. What time should I be at the departure?

The starting gun is set for 9:30 am. To ensure a good start, the organization urges all participants to arrive early at the starting area and suggests, based on the BIB , which Fertagus trains to take.

03. How can I get to the start area?

The start of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is located on the 25 de Abril Bridge. To reach the start area, participants must use the Fertagus trains and exit at Pragal station.

This is the only way to access the start, whether coming from the south bank or the north bank of the Tagus River. Further details on how to get the starting line will be shared closer to the race date.

Fertagus trains are free for participants upon presentation of their bib. Public transport (metro, buses, and trains) is also free for those traveling to Fertagus stations.

Only participants properly identified with their bib will be allowed access to the start area. Spectators will not be allowed on the bridge.

 

04. What will I find in the start area?

Participants will find bathrooms at the start and the starting boxes.

05. Can supporters (non-runners) travel to the start area?

The starting area is reserved for participants duly identified with their race number. Only runners will be able to access the start area.

06. How can I know what my starting box is?

Each participant’s BIB has the respective box indicated. Before collecting their bib number, participants can confirm their box from their registration. To check their registration, participants must go to the official website of the race and, in the top left corner of the page, enter their email address.

07. Is it possible to change the start box?

Participants can go to the Solutions counter at the Sport Expo and request the change.

08. Would you like to start at the front?

Runners with a duly proven personal record of under 01h10m (male runners) or 01h25m (female runners) can ask the organization for a special bib number at the Solutions desk at the Sport Expo.

09. I forgot to pick up my safety pins; what can I do?

Runners may ask the start staff for safety pins. But it is not guaranteed that there will be enough safety pins for all.



Course

01. What is the course of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon?

The EDP Lisbon Half Marathon has a very special course! It starts right on the 25th of April bridge and heads towards Lisbon. Then, it runs along the riverside area to Cruz Quebrada, where it returns towards the finish line in front of the Jerónimos Monastery.

Along the course, participants will have access to 7 (seven) supply stations (offering Vitalis water, 226ERS gel, and Powerade), 4 (four) stages with music (live bands or DJs), 9 (nine) ) areas with bathrooms (mainly at the foot of the stations) and two medical support stations (in addition to doctors, paramedics and nurses distributed along the course).

At the finish line, all finalists are entitled to an exclusive finisher medal, Vitalis water, Powerade, Madeira’s banana, Olá ice cream, and Mimosa Protein milk.

02. Where can I check the course map?

You can download the course map here, watch the video, or check Google Maps. (these maps are from the 2026 edition, there may be some minor changes in 2027).

03. Where will the aid stations be?

Along the course, participants will have Vitalis water, 226ERS gel, and Powerade (depending on supplies). The supplies map will be shared closer to the race date.

04. What is the time limit to finish the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon?

The time limit to complete the race is 3h00 (three hours).

05. Can I bring my supplies?

Yes, participants can bring their supplies, but they can always use those the organization provides.

06. Is it mandatory to wear the official t-shirt in the race?

It is not mandatory, although most participants wear the official adidas race t-shirt. The adidas t-shirt is a high-quality technical shirt ideal for running a half marathon.



Finish area

01. Where is the finish line of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon?

The finish line of the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is at the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon, right in front of the Tagus River!

02. What will I receive at the finish area?

The finishers will receive an exclusive medal and supplies to recover from the effort: Vitalis water, Powerade, a Madeira banana, Menorquina ice cream, and Mimosa Protein milk.

03. What will I find in the finish area?

After crossing the finish line, participants, along with supplies, have different animations and services to enjoy, such as:

  1. Meeting points
  2. Field hospital
  3. Bathrooms
  4. Medal engraving tent
  5. Massage tent

The plan of the finish area will be shared closer to the race date.

04. Who can use the medal engraving service?

Participants who have subscribed to the engraving service at registration or the Sport Expo only need to present their race number and ask for their engraving at the tent in the arrival area.

Participants who have not subscribed to the service can do so directly at the tent, paying for the service on the spot.

05. What transport options are available at the finish line?

In addition to Fertagus trains to the departure point, all participants can use Lisbon’s public transport (Carris buses, CP trains, and the Lisbon Metro) free of charge until 4:00 pm, by presenting their number.



Live tracking, results and photos

01. How can I follow the participants?

The event is broadcast live on RTP 1. Participants and supporters can follow the participants individually through a link shared closer to the race date.

02. Where can I consult the provisional classifications?

Finishers can check the provisional classifications (the final classifications will be published 15 days after the race) using a link shared closer to the race date.

03. I can't find my result, or my classification is not correct?

For any questions regarding the rankings, participants must fill out the form using the results link.

04. Where can I find photographs of the races?

The organization will publish photos of the races on their Facebook page. Marathon Photos will also have photos available on its website (these photos are paid).
